Weak AC

So I’m new. Just bought an 09 Civic last week to use as a daily driver. The AC is inadequate at best.

I tried to put in some coolant myself and I think I made it worse. So I took the car to a local Honda specialist who has a great reputation.

They evacuated the system and filled to spec. It’s still very weak. There’s no way this AC will keep up on above 90 degrees.

My son’s Toyota Corolla blows seriously cold air but not the Civic

Is this a common problem or do others have ice cold air?

Any feedback appreciated...

Re: Weak AC

My 06 civic has a weak ac while on idle, it does ok if im traveling over 30 mph. When i had it charged after 13 years of use, the mechanic told me that it barely runs on idle. Its been like that since i bought it new. It will keep up in temps over 100 if i use max ac.
