Ac not working.

I am having a problem with my wives AC. She has a 2013 civic lx sedan. I'll try to list everything it is doing.

Start car and everything seems to work fine. Ac comes on and blows cold. After about 4 minutes the ac clutch disengagaes, fans shut off (blower still running inside) and do not come back for about 10 minutes while running or if you shut the car off for a few minutes and restart. While it was working and not working I disconnected the 3 pin plug on the aternator and have 11.9 volts on one of the three pins at all times that the ac is switched on or off. (Seems like that should change) I would guess it is some type of thermal shutoff but I cannot seem to find a wiring diagram to know what is in that 3 wire circuit beyond the plug on the alternator. Please help if possible.

I also swapped the horn and ac clutch relays to eliminate that. But with the power still in the 3 pin plug I don't believe that even matters.

Edit: I probed the 3 pin connector while it was plugged in. The center pin is getting 13.8 volts when the system runs. 0 volts when it stops. The other pin has 11.9 when it is not on and 0 while it is on.

Re: Ac not working.

Not sure if this applies to the 8th and 9th gens but the AC clutch air gap might be too large.

Re: Ac not working.

That could apply but is not the case here. Something is shutting it down. From what i can find the other two wires are a thermal and low pressure cut off circuit. Still unable to find a diagram. Going to try jumping that circuit next to see if it comes back on. It'll be a few days before i can try that though.

Re: Ac not working.

Has it been recharged? Might need to be topped off.
