Timing Belt Question
Timing Belt Question
Hi
Just bought my daughter a really nice Civic
2003 Civic SI with 79,000 KM. Excellent shape. Was owned by a retiree and garage kept on the west coast it entire life.
Runs amazing!
However, the timing belt has never been changed. Is the timing belt change as critical if it has low miles but is 17 years old?
The dealership wants $750 to change the belt and water pump.
Anything else I should be checking?
thanks!

Re: Timing Belt Question
Yes it's critical, that's a fair price, and with it being the dealership they will be using the proper Honda parts
