2010 Honda Civic - Grinding noise.
Hello,
This is my first time using something like this and hoping maybe someone can help me out. I own a 2010 Honda civic, recently a few weeks ago I got work done to it, had a new wheel bearing put in and did all the things a car needs at the 100,000 mile mark plus an inspection. Today though my car did something and don't know if I should be worried. I put the vehicle into drive and turned the steering wheel left, when I accelerated the vehicle, it made a grind like noise but when I put it in reverse it wouldn't make that noise. I put it back into drive and it made the noise again. This noise did not last too long, only for a few mins and it went away. Half way through my job I went out and did what I did with the car this morning and couldn't replicate the noise. Didn't know if anyone had a thought on it. Just seemed odd, didn't know if a rock may had gotten caught and came out or if maybe two pieces of metal were too close and it got grinded out. I'm not sure, any thoughts are appreciated. Also it did not make a grinding noise when not moving either.

Re: 2010 Honda Civic - Grinding noise.
Might have been a rock. Maybe the dust shield. You can pull the wheels and take a look or take it back to the shop. If it's not making the noise tho they might not look at it.

Luckily so far it hasn't made the noise and feel it was probably a rock as well. I had gone to play soccer and the parking lot was all little rocks the day before this happened. So I think you are right.
Re: 2010 Honda Civic - Grinding noise.
If it does it again take some mental notes:
Are you pressing the brakes?Gas?
Approximate speed?
Turning the wheel at all?
General direction of noise?
Does the sound change with speed?
Can you feel anything through the pedal, shifter, steering wheel?
You had a good description but the more the better
