First off, I want to say that this site is the best resource I've ever had for working on cars, for 7th gen civics. You guys are the best, and have saved me $$$ and helped my little 01 civic alive. Thank you!

I'm in the market for a 9th gen civic, and I came here looking for examples of the crap I may have to deal with if I move on to a 2013 Civic, but the forum is pretty bare.

I don't see a bunch of timing belt and head gasket woes here yet, so that's cool, but it may be due to having too few 9th gen civics hitting the point when they need those things done. Are those still hot-button issues in the 9th gen?

What are the common issues with 9th gen civics? What should I look out for when buying one? Can I still fix everything with OEM parts, a ratchet, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 19mm, bloodied knuckles, and some profuse cursing? Or will I need to also spring for a nice cold beverage?

I'm looking forward to sarcastic remarks on the dumb things I'm asking

2013 are timing chain, so no issues on that.
2006-2008 have the engine block crack and rear control arm issues.

newer than that, mostly common issues? Don't see major ones.
