2010 civic cog under car visible... missing panel?

Not sure if this would be in transmission thread or general. Was changing oil yesterday and noticed this cog was visible. Looks like some kind of view port or dust gasket is missing. Sorry for my automotive ignorance, I have no idea what these are. Cant think of any reason for this cover to be gone. Maybe it was removed when my clutch was replaced last summer? Is it safe to drive like this? Thanks in advance!!

Safe to drive like that. There's supposed to be a cover there. I think it's called an inspection cover. Go back to wherever did your clutch and see if they still have it or will put a new one on for you
