Connected gauges and Low @ 43 - High @ 50.... What does this indicate?

I appreciate any help you can offer!!

A/C hasn't blown cold for a few years now (clutch engages/fans engage, etc, but not cold ever), but finally getting around to diagnosing at home.

It was about 87/88 degrees when I took these readings.

Thanks in advance!!

I would guess it needs a top up, but maybe someone wiser will chime in

Both pressure readings should be around ambient temp (in F) when the system has leveled out. Since it was 85-90 F I would expect the low and high to both be around 85-90 PSI. It's low.

Even then, I think the minimum pressure to run the compressor is 28 PSI. Was the compressor running at all or just the fans?

Well, I am no expert... But I can say when I turn on the AC, the clutch engages and I can hear the fans come on, etc.

Might just be low enough to not produce enough cooling to notice. You could try adding some refrigerant.
