AC Compressor replacement

The replacement ftom salvage yard

The original one off my car.
I got a 01 Honda civic ex 2 dr 1.7, I took my compressor off to replace it, and bought another one from a salvage yard. The wiring is different from the one that came off my car, the replacement I bought has only 1 wire going to the clutch and the one that came off my car has 2 wires going to the clutch, my question is will it still work?

Re: AC Compressor replacement

Should be fine, but definitely energize the clutch before you install it and observe it “snaps” in when powered up.

Re: AC Compressor replacement

bought a new one, but the studs aren't in the new compressor to bolt the ac lines back on to the compressor, was wondering what size bolt I would need to just bolt them back on instead of using the studs and nuts.

Re: AC Compressor replacement

I believe they are an M6-1.00 bolt. I can get you the size and length when I get home this evening (as long as I don't forget).

Re: AC Compressor replacement

M6-1.00 bolts, something like 25 mm in length should work just fine.
