Hey first time posting here so hopefully I’m posting in the right place. Trying to get any help with my 04 civic manual trans 1.7l vtec. I got the car about 2 months ago and issues started showing after about 3 weeks of driving. It’s been to my local mechanic and local Honda dealer and they both could not find an issue
ill try and explain everything the best I can but it’s very intermittent and confusing
Problem 1: car cranks and will not start when parked (green immobilizer key light flashes preventing it from starting) if I remove the key and try again it will go away and start up just fine but will return again

Problem 2: car has also died while driving multiple times! When it happens I lose power steering and all lights come on the dash (can’t remember if green key light does when it dies) I immediately have to swerve to the shoulder and car just cranks and cranks until I take key out and try and start it again. Sometimes it will start right up sometimes will crank for a min but starts fine afterwards

Final problem: drove it to my buddy’s house cause he lives about 3 min away so thought I would take the civic everything was fine until i got in it to leave and it was just cranking so I did my thing where I take the key out and try again and it started but died after about 2-3 seconds so I tried again then it did the same thing so… I tried revving it up as soon as it started and then it was fine!

I have a spare key have tried both keys issues happen with both
my local mechanic couldn’t replicate any of the problems when he had it so he couldn’t diagnose anything wrong with it at the time but we just took a shot and replaced the crank sensor when it was there. As soon as I got the car back issues kept happening so it wasn’t that
Mechanic thought it would be good to have Honda take a look and same thing happened as soon as it got there the issues didn’t wanna happen to them and they said everything was fine and to use my main key. Anyways picked the car back up about a week later from them and died while driving couple hours later when I was driving to the store.
Ive checked all the fuses, thought it could be fuel pump but the way it’s acting makes me think it’s electrical and fuel pump hums, tested battery, No codes, very intermittent can be fine one week and not work another, I’m stumped
Good news tho car is going back to Honda Friday and I’ve explained everything but…. I’ve been able to get the car to die more recently and do the green key flashing no start thing so hopefully they can figure something out. But if ANYONE can help and has suggestions let me know would be greatly appreciated!!!
