Re: My civic

If alternator bolts were loose, then it could have damaged the PCM - hence no spark. Bolts coming loose on the bracket are common.

No immobilizer light in the dash flashing right? Try another micro-chipped key.

Re: My civic

Check the grounds on the engine. If you can't connect with a scanner it points to a grounding issue (most common). There should be three: one from the radiator support to the water passage on the passenger side of the head, another for the engine harness grounding to the water passage (in a different spot), then a third from the battery negative terminal to the transmission mount I believe.

How about fuse 1 (15 amp) in the under-dash fuse box?

Re: My civic

Fuse 20 in the under-hood box? G101? Do you have a multi-meter? Verify those fuse actually have battery voltage when the key is on. Verify G101 has continuity to the negative terminal on the battery. How are you testing for spark? Did you check the alternator bolts on the bottom (alternator to bracket and bracket to block, both need to be clean and tight). The fact that you can't get a scanner to connect still points towards a bad ground. Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you first turn the key on? Should run for 2 seconds.

Re: My civic

fuel pump primes all the grounds where clean alternator bolts are all clean and tight everything thing else needed is good just no spark and I don’t think all four coils can go bad at the same time

I agree. If I were you I would be getting a meter and confirming battery voltage is making it to the coil packs. The black/white wire should have battery voltage with key on, the black wire should have ground, and the remaining wire is the ignition signal from the ECU. It's possible the fuse is good but there's a chewed up wire somewhere else.

i have checked all the wires all the way back to the ecu they are all good and as far as the black and white wire at coil pack they all read 12v

If not, have you checked alternator bolts? ground wires? If they loose it could be fried ecu

the car picture does not tell anything about your problem...

So little update on the car there is a broken wire somewhere in the engine harness so I am waiting for it to be found by the dealership and have it repaired or replaced but I just wanted to let everyone one know I should have the car back up and ruining again by sometime next week
