2002 Honda Civic EX No Start
2002 Honda Civic EX No Start
ive recently had a problem with my 2002 Honda Civic EX coupe. I was driving down the road riding fine when i came to a slow in traffic my check engine briefly came on and when i came to a complete stop my engine died. All of my electronics were still on as i had just bought a brand new battery so no light dimmed at all. My fuel pump relays were clicking and my fuel pump was humming. i checked all my wireds and nothing looked damaged in any way. i had just came from the shop where i got a new side plug installed as well as a new EGR gasket replaced. Shop owner advised that he had to take off the head cover to replace the side plug. although he didnt replace the oil which was bone dry as i had taken it in for an oil leak. The engine will crank with a lot of power but wont even attempt to turn over and start. After watching videos and looking at multiple forums ive come to the conclusion my sparkplugs which are also brand new were not firing. pulling each one out one at a time and cranking the engine im not getting any spark. would it be safe to say that im having a problem with my camshaft sensor? im planning on getting both my cam and crankshaft sensor replaced but i want to be sure im not overlooking something. can anyone shed some light on this situation?
