Hello everyone I apologize if something like this has been posted before but I have a problem.
My wife owns a 2005 honda civic and some of the time it starts right up, that's only when the green key and the battery light lights up on the dashboard. If those lights aren't illuminated the car just cranks. She usually has to turn the key back and forth over and over until they come on. She has quite a few spare keys and they all do the same thing. Sometimes while she is driving the car will stall out and the green key will flash and she has to pull over and repeat the process of starting the car.
We have taken it to a dealer and they couldn't replicate the problem saying they updated the computer and all that but the problem still persists. Any help or information you may have on this situation is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you may have a problem with your immobilizer system. If that's the case it will cause the car not to start as well as stall it out. It sounds like your problem is intermittent which make it difficult to troubleshoot. I'd wait for someone like ezone to reply to get a better idea of what's going on. Piece 1 is the cylinder key set and piece 14 is the immobilizer unit in the link below. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...INATION+SWITCH
