help p1519 won't start
I was hooking up some new speakers in the rear deck and while i had a lot of stuff taken apart i ran some heavy cable up to the engine compartment for a future amp. I poked it carefully through an existing rubber grommet I believe it's the main harness grommet. everything went pretty good and when i got everything back together now my car won't start. I got my code reader it gives me p1519, i've tried clearing the code, disconnecting the neg bat cable, checked for obviously disconnected plugins, fuses... nothing.
p1519 is idle air control valve circuit failure, what is the idle aircontrol valve?
oh, its a 03 civic lx

the IAC very important if you want your car to start and idle like it should. You may have shorted a wire or something. What I would recommend doing is tracking down the wire at the ECU harness and testing it to be sure its not shorted. Someone who has a shop manual should be able to help you with specific instructions and testing procedures.

if its an 03, is it still under warranty by chance? like 2k2 said, it sounds like you shorted something by the code it threw, the relay may be gone on the IAC. the IAC is responisble for letting the air into the tract when starting the car among idle regulation, without it you get nothing.
