Hard Shifting/Slamming when shifting from park to reverse and reverse to drive

Hi all,

I just got a 1998 civic lx, at first it wasn't shifting gears at all due to the linkage being installed wrong, that I was able to fix. Now it shifts through all gears and doesn't slip at all. However the entire vehicle jerks when shifting the transmission from park to reverse, and from neutral to drive. Once in drive, D4-D2 results in no jerking or slamming at all. Then shifting back to reverse causes the slamming again. I just replaced all of the motor/transmission mounts. The lower left motor mount was broken but unfortunately replacing it did not fix the slamming issue. What could cause this?

Checked fluid level? Fluid needs to be hot and checked with the vehicle off and on level ground

Funny thing is that that happened to me often but I pushed my foot all the way down like hard af and shifted to see what happened and it didn’t even move or slam. But my 97 lx shifts weird and hard
