Stuck in gear?!?!?!
Has anyone else had troble shifting into reverse?
I have actually had to push my car out of the space I was in, i couldnt get it in reverse. And one time i parked and left it in reverse, when i started my car again, it got stuck in there, i had to force it out of gear and it made some really bad noises when i did.
Ideas?

never had a problem with that, a few times it felt like it was in reverse, but when i let the clutch out and pushed the gas, it just revved (almost caused an accident the one time when i was trying to get out quickly since i had to then come to a complete stop and shift into reverse again and then go so it wouldnt grind)
i would say take it to the dealer if you can reproduce the problem. if not, call them and ask about it

This has been posted before...
Have you tried letting off the clutch and pushing it back down and tried shifting the **** again? I think reverse was purposely made that difficult (cuz I've had a similar problem but not as bad) so it doesn't accidently get shifted in there. Getting it OUT of reverse, now that's new what you just said. How does the shifter move in and out of reverse when the engine is off?
I HATE THAT SOUND! It ruins the tranny... Don't worry, I did that a few times when my car was new and I didn't even know how to drive a 5-speed!

Well most of the time it shifts into reverse no problem, yes it is more stiff getting the stick into the slot (sorry coulnt resist). But when it is meessin up, I have to use both hand and force it in, I feel that im going to bend the shift ***....not good
Well to the dealer it is
Ill Let you know what they say

i read about this problem before a long time ago, try putting the shifter into other gears first like 1st, or 2nd or something, then try to put it in reverse, if that doesnt work, let off the clutch and push it down again and try again
When you leave it in reverse always apply the emergency brake before you let the clutch out. A lot of time the is too much pressure built up from the weight of the car, leaving the gear stuck until you can relieve the pressure. Try that first, if that doesn't work you could have a tranny problem.
