Transmission Shift Solenoid.

Well that was the hardest electrical connector ever to separate. Son’s ‘96 had the old flashy D4 so switching out on Friday. Hope that’s it. Any thoughts?

Re: Transmission Shift Solenoid.

Fluid is pristine and full. Doesn’t want to shift timely through the gears. So I just figured this was an inexpensive first fix that should be done any way. The car is a fossil. Bought it for next to nothing to show him some basic mechanics as he knows nothing of cars, tools etc. Not psyched to deal with the computer or tranny itself. Thanx.
