95 Civic DX AT fluid leak

After taking my car to 2 mechanics (I should have known better) they both said that my AT fluid leak was coming from my driver side CV axle seal. Well, my brother and I get under the car and check the seal and it’s perfectly fine. We replaced it anyway, which I normally do not do. It looks like the leak is around the lower bolt on the T bracket, actually. I believe that screws in to the tail shaft…right? Is that fluid retaining? I can’t find this info anywhere specifically for the 5th gens. Thanks in advance!

I would think more likely its residual oil from removing the oil filter during an oil change if it's by the t bracket. Try cleaning it real good then driving to see if you can spot a leak.

This is a significant leak, and it’s def transmission fluid. Every time I drive it, there’s so much fluid dripping on to everything that my car is smoking like a 4th of July bbq when I come to a stop. The fluid pooling around that bolt on the T bracket is red and the fluid dripping on to the oil mat & towels I have down is red. When I check my dipsticks, my oil is good, ATF keeps getting low. It’s in such an annoying spot to figure out but I love this girl and really want to fix her.
