98 Honda civic starting issues
I’ve been trying to figure out whats wrong with my son’s civic. It’s a sohc non vtec. Driving down the road the car will just cut off no symptoms that it’s gonna cut off just dies. Car still has power everything works just turns over and won’t start. Noticed that the cel stays on after turning ignition on. Wait around 10/15 mins cel turns off after a few secs of turning on switch like normal. I have no idea what the cel is cause his port isn’t working for my scan tool. I previously replaced distributor, plugs and wires. Car done good for a few days then he said it done it again. So I wanted to change the fuel pump and ignition lock cylinder. Done that. Car started up no issues. Drove around then I parked it and turned the key off then went to start it back and now the car won’t start. Just turns over and I have no spark to my wires with the cel staying lite. I’m going tomorrow to get a plug so I can actually scan it and a computer off a donar car a friend has hopefully something gives. But any help would be greatly appreciated. Timing belt is still in good shape I’ve checked every fuse and relay I can find
