So I started doing a valve adjustment and found the the right side of the belt has quite a bit of slack to it. I tried attaching a video but no such luck. Tension on the left side is fine. Does the tensioner tighten the left side or the right side of the belt? I just dont want to open up the tensioner bolt plug cover and mess around with a hanger to tighten up slack for nothing, as much as I enjoy doing that. I'm at TDC. my marks all line up and that's when I have quite a bit of slack on the right side. Even when I turn 3 teeth, I still have slack on the right side. Suggestions? Im fairly confident I'm going to have to loosen the tensioner pulley but it says to do it at TDC but if the tensioner tightens only the left side of the belt, it wont be anything from what I can see
Yes you are correct Colin42. I ended up, loosening the tensioner bolt, managed to make a small hook at the ender of a hanger to grab hold of the puller where the spring connects and got the slack removed. thankfully I didn't unhook the spring by mistake this time.
