Hi, this is my first Civic. I bought it a week ago with a check engine light on. I knew the IAC valve was giving me a code so I had replaced it. None of the codes have gone away or changed. My civic will surge randomly in park and idles at about 1600 rpm. It’s stalled on me multiple times while driving and then takes me upto 30 minutes to be able to start it again. I can’t even start it without hitting the dashboard sometimes as I need the check engine light to be on or else it just cranks and doesn’t start. I want to fix the issue myself and not take it to a mechanic since I’m trying to become a mechanic myself but I’m getting frustrated and I’m out of ideas, if I anyone could help I’d appreciate it greatly.

as long as you are not related to user "Lolaaapop" we can try to help
