Heating problem D16Y8

I have changed almost everything in the cooling system except the fan. Ik it works bc it turns after a good good while is that normal? The reservoir always fills up boiling after a 30 min drive or after the freeway. Anybody know what it could be?

Headgasket is blown or coolant is low. Or headgasket is now blown from the coolant being low

Re: Heating problem D16Y8

Fr? I don’t have any other symptoms of a blown gasket. I should see how the oil looks huh?

That is the only symptom these engines show. They don't do the milkshake

Re: Heating problem D16Y8

the reservoir filling up is all the evidence needed.

you can also do this test

We saw many people in denial, but they all ended up changing the head gasket. (yes, it is common, so common that we created this thread

Re: Heating problem D16Y8

no videos, but here is one narrating his experience on a 7th generation - yours is 6th so some differences in engine configuration, parts
typically full time two days work, so expensive

I did at home, at my leisure - two months to finish

Check youtube. Either you fix the engine you have or dump another engine in it
