He says that it was misfiring befor the plug change and the new ngk plugs helped a lil bit but it idles good just under 750 rpms and when you press the gas pedal it boggs down and stalls out

NGK is what almost all Honda's come with. I use NGK exclusively.

Any engine codes? Check for vacuum leaks.

Re: 2000 Honda Civic

Has he replaced the O2 sensor? That's what a code is for and that'll cause a misfire.

Replace with OEM only. Aftermarket will not work. Denso or Honda brand only.

Re: 2000 Honda Civic

Apparently the O2 sensor code with pre-existing because the exhaust is broken before the second catalytic converter hes owned the car for about 6 months and never had a problem with the misfiring until a week ago he was driving and it stalled out on him and will not run he thought it was the spark plugs so he's changed them and used NGK plugs which helped the issue a little more cuz now it won't idle just fine but when you press the gas it bogs down and tries to stall out I have a video of what it is doing however this website will not allow me to post the video

Re: 2000 Honda Civic

Whoever coming in about the NGK spark plugs you are incorrect... as a matter of fact Honda suggest only using NGK V-Power or Denso TT Platinum plugs and I do believe the current day Honda manufactured and distributed with NGK V-Power as their oem plugs

This was addressed previously.

As for the codes, perhaps it's a fuel issue. Certainly not ideal to leave the O2 sensor code, either.
