Hoping someone can help identify this piece that may or may not have fallen out of a 99 civic head. I was turning the head over to clean it and this piece dropped on my work bench.
I'm thinking it's a piece of a fuel injector that may have found it's way into the head valley. The injectors were replaced recently, probably while the valve cover was off. I didn't replace the injectors, so I don't know for sure.
Side view Small pinhole. Piece is about 1 inch across.
Hard to tell from the pics, but top and bottom are brown with black oring in between. The metal piece on one end seems to be a clip holding it all together.
Just want to make sure it's nothing before I toss it.
I like to be silly sometimes. lol. It was the best description I could come up with at the time
But yeah, the first picture, the top of the plastic portion that has the fin-like structures. Kinda looks like it has an uneven shear surface so it leads me to believe that part sheared off of the main injector body
