Aluminum Shavings removal

I was trying to drill out a snapped valve cover bolt (the back right bolt if at the front of the car) and the guard I had in place moved on me and a pile of aluminum shavings dropped in right by a hole that I believe returns oil to the pan, and some shavings around one of the valve springs. what would be a good way to remove the shavings and should I flush what I cant remove down that hole and do an oil change?

Personally I would get any out of the head that you can, remove the oil drain plug then dump some "clean" used oil in the head to wash it down to the pan, then drop the pan to make sure nothing was missed. Unless it's really fine metal shavings and I didn't really care if the engine blew then I would skip dropping the pan and change out the oil filter a couple times soon after.
