You engine's problem is most likely much bigger than the rad fan not switching on. Several overheats probably has lead to a blown head gasket.

If there's exhaust emissions in the coolant system causing bubbles the ECT may not be reading correctly to engage the radiator fan. Do a block test on it to rule out unwanted emissions in the coolant system.

Re: 2000 civic radiator fan

Got head gasket problems?
What do you see that leads you to believe the engine is overheating?

Temp gauge problems? Gauge isn't accurate?
See what the PCM believes the actual engine coolant temp is, as shown on a real scanner data list.
Does that number tend to agree with the needle position on your temp gauge?

The dash gauge and the engine computer each have their own coolant temp sensor.
The radiator fan uses yet another.
What temp is your new fan switch rated for?

Got flow problems? The engine could overheat and the fan switch would never know it, if liquid isn't circulating correctly.
Cooling system is full of 50/50? Cooling system holds pressure?
