Replacing radiator, need help

So I'm replacing my radiator in my 01 manual and I'm having some concern regarding the condenser fan (the fan thats closest to the driver's side). Everything else came out easily, but getting this thing out was definitely a challenge. I got the radiator out and everything now but Im concerned that when I put the new radiator in when I try to get this fan back in it'll mess up the radiator. Does anyone have any advice on this? The haynes manual just says it should slide right out but there's no way that its doing that.

Put the fan down in there and out of the way, then slip the radiator in, then attach the fan to the radiator.
