Hey all, I'm new to the forums. Last week my 1996 Honda Civic popped a p1362 code; no signal from tdc or cmp. Looking through other forums and a manual I reset the ECM. Code was gone but came back after a drive, except now it's p1361; intermittent interruption from CMP (TDC).

Should be noted that when i first bought the car 2 years ago, the previous owner had had changed the distributor once. I did research with less knowledge than i have now. I couldn't find a solution but what i did end up doing was changing the ECM. And that fixed the problem. Only for about a year though which was nice. I still have the old ECM too.

I've seen a few posts about these particular codes but could never see if their work ever paid off. And there's just a lot of trouble shooting/confusion I wish i can do and work on. I do have a multimeter to help test some wires and such; which i did last night. But I'm having trouble coming up with a conclusion - and or - not sure if i'm going about it the right way.

If any of you can lead me to a particular thread with the info, or just help me through some trouble shooting, it'd be much appreciated.
