Unhappy Honda civic p06 ECU Q31 burned.

Hi Lars here, don't know if i posted my problem in the right section, new here.

I have a honda civic with a d16y7 Turbo swap with a p06 ECU. it has 3 error codes ECT sensor, TP sensor and IAT sensor. but.... the car ran fine with these errors (i was fixing them).
The problem is that i have burned my Q31 transistor in my p06 ECU. I read this was a common problem with swaps ( switch the iat and purge solenoid). People said you can still run your car fine with that ECU and have no problems. But....... since i burned my Q31 transistor my ECU the car won't rev past 2000 rpm it pops and bounces there. when i plug in my old ecu with no turbo map it just revs fine and has no problems so it must be the p06 ECU with the burned Q31 solenoid. Also a weird thing is that i can start my car with the tps not connected and it revs past 2k with the p06 ECU (with the burned Q31 in it). When i connected the tps the problem still there. i already put in a new tps and reset the ECU but nothing good. Somebody got a idea? i'm plannig on soldering the Q31 back in and hope the ECU will work fine. My other options is switching the EPROM/chip from the p06 in my old p28 (also a chipped ecu) and run the turbo map from the P28. i don't know if it is possible to switch the p06 chip in the p28 but maybe somebody can tell me, both ECU's are chipped.
Sorry for my bad english trying my best :P

Not sure how tight the circuit/spacing is, but you might be able to wire in a fuse to the v+ signal wire on the new transistor; that way if it fails again, it's an easy fix.

you could also attempt to wire in a resistor, to lower the voltage to the transistor.

That’s also a good idea, but i’m not afraid that it wil burn again. It happend by switching the IAT connector and evap connector. But i have set them right now. This is the burned spot Q31.

Re: Honda civic p06 ECU Q31 burned.

I have soldert the Q31 back in and the ECU is working fine now! Only code i have is from the 4 wire lambda sensor (41 primary oxygen sensor heater)... i have to wire it myself because it had a 1 wire lambda in it. I wired it on the ECU on D14, D22, A6 an A25 but no luck, so i think the lambda is broken then...gonna replace it today.
