Need some civic help.

Bought a 96 civic, civic was ghetto rigged with the fan hooked up to the interior fuse box to come an stay on while the car is on. Trying switch it back to normal.

Here’s what I found so far and fixed.
- He pulled out the fan pin wire from the EcU
- car had no thermostat or thermo gasket
- fan power was running off a wire running the the interior fuse box.

Again that’s everything I found an fixed so far.

Here what I noticed so far with the car running at idle now.
Temp gauge in car goes up slowly and stops at the half way point but the engine is physically hotter by touch, u can tell the car is overheating. Top radiator hose gets extremely hot but lower radiator hose going to the thermostat stays cold. Radiator is extremely hot.

I wanted to check the thermostat sensor next.
Any other ideas on what I should check next?

Nevermind, I jumped the ECT switch an the fans came right on with the car on. , bingo, Bad switch
