Angry Temperature Gauge/Fan not working

New thermostat and new fan switch installed. The car reaches operating temperature but gauge will not move more than half way. The fan will also not start ( fan has been tested and relay works). Left the car running and also took it for a drive around the block.
Any ideas on what the issue could be?

2000 Civic EX

Thanks

Re: Temperature Gauge/Fan not working

Jump the fan switch, pull the plug for the switch, and test for voltage? If everything is working, seems like there's a lack of electrical continuity somewhere.
