It's just under the intake manifold and has a vacuum tube running to it.

Anything other than a vacuum tube going to it? It is connected to the head? Kinda looks like it in that pic. Doesn't quite look OEM, to say the least.

I'd second what @Colin42 said.

Pull the hose off and see if that blue piece connected to it is the PCV valve.
