My wife's 97 Civic LX sedan has been having window problems. Two windows not working. Front right window does not work. First thing I did was throw a new motor/regulator at it with no success. Then I tested the switch continuity and it passed. I then picked up a power probe clone and neither of the 2 wires has ground. One wire has power switching down, one has power switching up.

Rear left window works intermittently. Sometimes proper, sometimes down and not up, sometimes not at all. Only one of the 2 wires reads ground sometimes, and other times both read ground. Someone recommended a driver switch and I installed that yesterday but it did not fix the problem. The driver switch was recommended and bought before I had a power probe. I need some advice on troubleshooting for ground issues. And where is the ground(s) for the windows? I saw a ground behind left front kick panel that looked clean. Is that it and show I take it off anyway?

typically the wires around the driver's door hinges get stiff and starts breaking with old age.
