Coolant leak battery fuse blown

Tried searching but couldn't find anything like my situation. I just finished replacing the head gasket in my d16y8 but missed a coolant hose connection on the underside of my intake. It proceded to dump coolant down the backside of the block before I realized it.
After found and fixed I attempted to start the car everything appeared normal untill the starter was engaged and it promptly blew the battery fuse.

Other than waiting for connections to dry and trying again does anyone have recommendations for what I might check before I blow another fuse?

Thanks!

Jump start? Battery removed?
If you connected (or even touched) the cables backwards, that fuse blows instantly. No cranking needed. Or possible.
