IACV from 2 wire to 3 wire, need confirmation
IACV from 2 wire to 3 wire, need confirmation
96 civic DX
D16Y7 with I think a D16Y8 intake manifold
P2E ECU
Non-VTEC
IACV has 2 wire plug
I am getting a code 14 (IACV). After searching I realized that I need a 3 wire plug and that I need to re pin the wires running into the ECU.
my question is will a 3 wire plug, plug into my current 2 wire IACV?
If so, do I just follow these diagrams to fix the issue?
and then just do the reverse or opposite of the instructions in the pic below?
greatly appreciate any an all info,
thanks

Re: IACV from 2 wire to 3 wire, need confirmation
...the instructions in the picture you posted tell you what you need to do.
2 wire will not work with 3 wire iacv.
I don't know this swap, but did you swap ecu?
if ecu swap then
-find a pinout diagram of the ecu
-run the 3 wires you need
if ecu same and only the solinoid is differen
-swap the solinoid if you can
Or
-find pinout diagram for 3 wire setup and run the wires.
