I don't have a photo, but I have an issue with the hood latch on my 2003 Civic Coupe. It'll shut and snap into one part of that latch that keeps you from pulling it back up without use of the lever. But it won't fully shut and go down to where you'd need to pull the hood release. The hood release does work and it releases the hood, the only issue as far as I know is getting back down and fully closing it. How would I go about fixing this, and are there any alternatives I can try that'll keep the hood down just so I can drive it around?

Take the latch off, clean it, and lube it.
that or the cable is sticking
