My 2012 civic door locks will unlock with the key fob but will not unlock manually with the key in the door handle. The key will turn easily left and right so is not a frozen cylinder. Has anyone had this problem?
Pull the door panel off and see if the lock rod is still attached
I figured out the issue. It looks like the previous owner of the vehicle tried to use a slim Jim or coat hanger to open the door. The arm on the end of the lock cylinder was dislodged so it did nothing. I pulled the lock assembly and got it installed properly. Attached is a picture of what was dislodged.
