2012 Civic Battery died. Key won't open door.

2012 Civic Battery died. Key won't open door.
Battery died while finishing up repairing some body damage in front. Doors were locked and now can open with key fob. Tried the key in the door but it doesn't open just can turn it. Am I doing something worng?
