2012 Honda Civic 2012 LX Key replacement question

I have a single key that came with it that I bought the car from an auction. No FOB built in. I see new keys that I can get cut at the dealer but some have 3 button and some have 4 button

do both work?

I was told the dealer will program them both for $59.99 and $12 to cut each key

Told by who.....? That is a pretty good price for 2. It requires HDS for new ones.

They should have lock/unlock/trunk & panic.

60 to connect the scanner one time and program any number of keys
12 to cut a key on the special cutting machine

I'm pretty certain that doesn't include the price of any keys.

The part # 35118-TR0-A00 is for a Honda key with built in fob.
MSRP USD $32 each. Can be had cheaper through online dealers.

Not sure I'd waste energy going to ebay or the like, you have almost no way of knowing if it is going to be correct or not.
