Locking issue in my 2009 Honda Civic
Locking issue in my 2009 Honda Civic
Hi, I drive a 2009 Honda Civic DX manual transmission. The car doesn’t have an aux input, wondering if that’s normal thought every Honda had one after 04 or 05. My main question is a problem which I have with locking the doors. The car does not come with the lock button on the door panel (guess that’s just because it’s the base model) but the car does not lock when I use the fob/ keys. I have to manually close the doors by putting the key in the lock or switching the lock switch from locked to unlocked. I’m just trying to figure out how to fix this. Some extra detail for your essay the anti theft system is on or at least it flashes on, the key/fob works because the red light flashes when I hit a button and I did change the battery, oh and also the exterior lights don’t flash to show the car is locked or unlocked and it’s not the fuses tried that. Please help just wanna solve this.
Re: Locking issue in my 2009 Honda Civic
The DX trim did not get power door locks and therefore cannot have keyless entry. With no power door locks you have to manually lock/unlock each door separately.
