I am needing to replace the "Cover Assembly Engine (Lower)" honda part number 74110-tr3-a10 on my son's Civic. It has been partially ripped and is now dragging along the ground. I had purchased the vehicle used, and turns out this assembly was mostly held on by zip ties (discovered this when I went to remove the part). I can find the part easily enough (i.e. https://www.hondapartsoverstock.com/...waAq_TEALw_wcB), but not sure about the bolts needed (or how many) to mount it properly. It was held on by two bolts, but the rest was zip ties.
What year and trim level? That link you posted also shows the parts diagram that kinda shows you how many of each bolt/clip/push rivet it takes to hold that cover on
Sorry. 2012 Honda Civic LX. Agreed that the diagram kinda does show what is needed, but it also kinda doesn't. Also doesn't specifically state what is needed (i.e. 10mm, 12mm, finder bolt, push rivet etc). Just trying to make sure I have everything I need to put this on, once I get it.
Also, is it the entire black piece that's being held on by zip ties? or just the silver access panels?
p.s. any bolt down there is typically 10mm or a black nylon bumper clip/pop rivet thingy. I'm not sure about the 9thgen, but the 10thgens they switched it up and tossed a couple of 4-5mm allen head bolts down there, just to mess with us.
It was the black piece mostly held on by zip-ties. The silver pieces are/were attached with some sort of screw. It's all in pretty bad shape, so I was just going to replace the whole thing.
Lol oh geez, someone did a number on that poor undercarriage. It'll take a bit of research, but I'll see if I can find out how many of each you'll need. Those honda parts sites used to be awesome and tell you how many of [part number] you needed for that section, but they took that away across the board.

Yeah, in the past, I've found sites that will show that sort of exploded diagram and have a list of all the part numbers (by drawing callout), but i can't seem to find one, at least for this car. I suppose if I spent a few $100 I could get the maintenance book and find out.
