Hey does anyone know if it is safe to use some regular hardware store bolts to replace the flange bolts on my front lower control arms? I am just going to buy sets of 14mm ones and try them all on when I am replacing the control arms.

That is the bolt I am replacing but theres 4 of them and on the web they want to sell them for like $5 a piece not including shipping.

i would use OEM on a critical bolt like that, if you were talking about an air filter bolt or something, then anything would do,

certain bolts (like this) have strength ratings stamped on them

if you can't afford honda 5$ bolts for your car perhaps you should not be driving.
