Fuel Gauge/Instrument cluster issue
Fuel Gauge/Instrument cluster issue
09 Civic LX recently started have intermittent issue with the fuel gauge. It appears to read backwards....Lets just say I have half a tank of fuel. Normally the dashes would be highlighted on the right going towards empty. Intermittently now they light up towards the left and full direction. And if you tap on the dash they correct themselves and go back to normal. Any ideas?

Re: Fuel Gauge/Instrument cluster issue
My friend's 08 has the same issue. Did some research and it apparently has to do with solder connection on the cluster PCB. Saw some videos where people reflowed the solder/resoldered the joint and it fixed it.
Since that car is on its way out anyways, she told me not to worry about it. If I find the video, I'll post it up
edit: here are a couple video links of the same issue, same fix
