HI all
I have this vehicle and I would like to disable one annoying feature (at least to me ). In Canada we have a lot cold days and in winter I would like to warm up my car before I leave for work but at the same time I do not want to leave my car running on idle and unlocked. This would be an open invitation for every one . So what happens is when I put my car to idle and then if my door are locked as soon as i shut the door, the door get unlocked automatically. I want to leave the doors locked when i shut the door when vehicle is in idle. When it is warm enough I can unlock it with my duplicate key and go.
Any idea how this can be achieved.

I’m unaware of any way to remove that feature.

Have you looked at installing remote-start?

You could install a remote start kit. Will allow you to start the car with the doors still locked.

What happens if you leave the driver door unlocked then try to lock it from the outside with the key?

Install a remote start, either DIY or pay someone if you're not comfortable with wiring
