I have a 2007 Honda civic and i recently had trouble with the aux port. I did replace it. The problem is that my stereo recognizes it for a second, showing that the aux is connect but then will suddenly switch back to FM/AM mode. I will then have to hit the top of my radio system (i have the radio with the touch screen navigation system) for it to go back onto aux mode. I also recently replaced my front speakers and even when the aux is plugged and shows that it is on aux mode, i will need to bang or unplug and replug in my phone charger to the power accessory port for the driver side speakers to have sound. Any ideas of how to fix or what this could be?

Sounds like a possible head unit issue.
