Airbag light
Looking to buy 2011 coupe exl. Owner wants to fix airbag light on before we buy. I called a dealer and gave vin and he said the car was in to get codes, bad passenger wight sensor or srs. Srs is about $500+ and seat sensor is about 3500+. They had a part # for a bypass for seat sensor and bought it.
Still waiting to hear from owner. What’s next?
can the srs be found cheaper? Will the passenger airbag still work with bypass?

I'd run far away from that, if they're bypassing the air bag system, who knows what other shady things they're doing

they're still messing with an important safety system, you do what you want
but again if they're doing a hack repair on something like that who knows what other shady things they're doing
