Engine "Puttering" Noise. Help!
Engine "Puttering" Noise. Help!
I've got a 2003 Civic LX (automatic) with almost 14,000 KM on it. I started noticing the engine making a "puttering" noise when accelerating from a stop. At higher speeds/rpm it doesn't make the noise. It's most noticible when in gear (Drive or Reverse) but not so noticible in Neutral.
I took it in to Honda and the guy said he doesnt hear anything out of the ordinary. Still, I *know* the car didn't use to make this noise. Sometimes it's more noticable than other times.
A friend said it might be the spark plugs... They're due to be changed at 16,000 KM.
Anyone have any insight or experienced anything similar?
