30,000 miles
I have recently approached 30,000 miles with my car. Since it's that time to get a check up, I decided not to get one because they're so damn expensive. I was just wondering if the check up is a big deal or not. So far the only problem I've had with the car is that the tires are deflating like crazy, I've been inflating the tires almost ever other day. Another problem I have is the Maintenance Required light. I don't know how important this is, but I was just wondering what everybody else thinks of the 30,000 mile check up.
The maintenance required light isn't a problem if it's doing what I think it's doing. On our cars, the MR light comes on about every 8,000 miles to remind us to get the recommended maintenance, and supposedly the tech at the dealer is supposed to reset it for you so it doens't go off everytime you turn the ignition. However, if you don't want to get the thing checked, there is a procedure in the manual that tells you how to reset it. It's easy. However, if that's not what you're talking about, I guess I'd have it checked out just to be sure.

I changed mine to Denso Iridium IK20 @ 16,000 mile or so. I posted reviews somewhere.....overall it's a good mod for fuel efficiency.
