hey guys i put on my N1 style muffler when i first got my car like last year, the guy put the muffler as close to the rear bumper as possible, i recently got my body kit put on and i noticed that the space between the kit and the muffler was extremely close, i also noticed that the paint above the muffler is starting to chip, i just got my kit put on yesterday...and i also noticed when the smoke was coming out and getting on my rear lip, i would take my finger and brush it over where the smoke touched and a film of some sort would come off...im getting my dual exhaust put on today and ill get the guy to put it on lower...but is this the reason why my paint is chipping all of a sudden in that area?

i dont think its chipping cuz of your exhaust, but im not sure. your exhaust should have burnt or melted the bumper if it was that close. the n1's are supposed to be snug with the body. btw, what body kit do you have?

i dont know the answer to your question, i could imagine that the paint could come off due to the heat from the muffler but then again i dont know what i am actually talking about.

but i got a question, how much did the dual exhaust cost and from were did ya get it? - thanks.

yea i just washed my car the other day and when iwas polishing the muffler i found that my body kit part melyed on top of the muffler. anything i can put on my kit to protect it??

i dont think you can put anything to protect it, the only way i know is to have a shop lower the exhaust a bit
