resetting check engine light

i need to know how to reset the check engine light, i had to drop my tranny(auto) to uprgrade my torque converter, went with a JMO torque converter, great people by the way, but now since i had to unplug my reverse light from the tranny and my odometer/speedometer plug the check engine light is on and i know it's because of the unplugging because my car drives great and shifts snappier than before can anyone help?????

That's not gonna do it. You do that if you want to reset the ECU not to reset the check engine light.

You're gonna have to take it to a Honda Dealer and have them reset it for you.

I thought by resetting the ECU, all sort of data in the ECU would be deleted...including the check engine light...
then the ECU will run all tests and set the correct values for 2 to 3 days...

The check engine light is on for a reason, its not on to just annoy you. Thers something wrong with your car so you need to take it into the shop.

just unplugging the battery doesn't reset the check engine light. my wife's car had the check engine light on and i had to put a new alternator in it and the battery was out for over a day and the light came back on right after starting it up. it's definitely something for the dealer.
