warming up your car....
To circulate oil properly on moving parts there needs to be pressure. The pressure to squirt the oil onto cam lobes, bearings etc. is created with RPM's, so letting your car sit and warm up is actually creating more wear on your motor. 20-30 seconds and I am on my way but like many other folk on here I keep the rev's below 3000 and preferably around 2500 if traffic permits. Starting the car this winter in minus 30 deg. celsius was tough on her but a gentle foot always warmed the car wayyyy quicker than letting it sit for 10 minutes.

yes i warm my car up everyday no matter what weather. even though my car is kept in a heated garage i feel its good to warm your car up, if that the least you can do to baby the engine. it takes me about 5 to 8 minutes depending on temperature. yeah on average my car shoot up to like 1900 rpm and drops close 1000 when i start it.
for the other person before, i use to have weak starts when i would turn the key in the ignition. it would feel like the car was struggling. i changed to 87 octane fuel and not starts the same everyday. i dont know if that makes a difference.
